What does the interviewer want to hear?
The question tests whether you can succinctly relate your experience to the role. This is not a request to tell your whole life and not a reason to list every position.
Organize your answer around your current professional point, two relevant facts, and the direction in which you want to be helpful.
Simple response structure
Start with what you are doing now. Then name one experience or project that is relevant to the position. Finally, explain why the next step is logical for you.
For the first version, 45–60 seconds is enough. A short, clear answer is easier to improve and deliver with confidence.
How to make the answer your own
Don't copy an example from the Internet: replace general words with facts, tools and results. Write down the answer, listen to it and remove phrases that you never say in normal speech.
Then practice the same meaning with a different beginning - the interviewer may ask the question differently.
